I'm thinking his kids will be mortified when they get a little older, though, unless they are just like him....

    •  I think she's pretty smart (4+ / 0-)

      law from George Washington U.
Only campaign event I ever saw her at was the fake dish washing in the soup kitchen photo-op, and she looked embarrassed - I assumed because she knew it was all an act, but I could be wrong it might have been because she was in a soup kitchen.

      •  That's the only time I saw her, too. (6+ / 0-)

If she wasn't embarrassed, she should have been.  Her husband is as big a fake as that photo-op.

      •  I was classmates (13+ / 0-)

at Harvard Business School with Ryan's brother (and sister in law).  Knowing my classmates I wouldn't necessarily say that's a sign of intelligence, but the credential is there at least, indicating that brains may run in the family.  On the other hand, applying those brains in a reasonable, compassionate, intelligent, logical way seems, um, severely lacking.

      •  whaaaa? (0+ / 0-)

hands up anyone who thinks the school means a darned thing . . ..

My experience: a person who graduated Purdue Rocket Science program (no, really) could not develop the equations describing a simple 2-part  manifold fluid-flow (needed for a real solution to a real problem on a real piece of equipment. Anyone who knows even a tiny bit about rocketry knows that manifold-flow is bread/butter.

A person with MS ChE from M.I.T.  - no less - could not solve two simultaneous quadratic equations.

        School means n-o-t-h-i-n-g   .... nothing.

Smartest engineers I ever worked with - and I've worked with ex Chinese-military scientific-superstars, EU, Russian, Japanese, Indian, American best-of-the-best brain-trust scientific R&D division - are from NIU, UW-Madison, Rose-Hulman Institute of Tech.

Quoting a school as indication of intellectual chops has long since been passe - that's because most people know that it's meaningless. What school did Dubya go to?
