  •  Al Qaeda in Iraq surging... (4+ / 0-)

....because for all the evil Saddam did, he struck hard at Islamic fundamentalists.

He tortured more Islamic fundamentalists than in any of John Bolton's wettest dreams.

Happy now, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rice, Rumsfeld, and Bush?

9-11 changed everything? Well, Katrina changed it back.

    •  Why yes, yes they are (7+ / 0-)

You do realize they want instability somewhere in the world. And the more places the merrier. How else can they get justifications for an ever growing MIC. We can't fund just a two-front war! al Qaeda is on 5 continents now! We need an Octagon instead of a Pentagon! Quick cut taxes on the rich to stimulate war spending!

You can't assassinate the character of any of modern conservative. You'd have to find where it was buried, dig it up, resurrect it, then kill it. And killing a zombie isn't really assassination, is it?

militant fundamentalists hasn't proven to be much of a means of defeating them...

income gains to the top 1% from 2009 to 2011 were 121% of all income increases. How did that happen? Incomes to the bottom 99% fell by 0.4%
