  •  I've said it for months (7+ / 0-)

The entire strategy is basically run out the clock.  Keep Dems from doing anything else by always having more cuts on the horizon.

As long as Dems are in this chinese fingertrap, started once Reid and Obama decided that trying to use the debt limit to get their grand bargain was wise, they are screwed.

What do you do?  CALL THEIR F'N BLUFF FOR ONCE.

The time to do it was the fiscal cliff, but they got wimpy again.  (President's approval was sky high and the blew it as usual).

Well, now is the time to say enough.  Instead of trying to change cuts, why not wait for UE to go up next month (May) which it will, and use it to pivot to jobs.  Say we see cuts don't work. And say eff the media's deficit obsession.

And then run for a 1 1/2 on jobs and immigration.  That's it.  Use the bully pulpit (which was working by the way, until they got antsy once again).  If they would have kept pushing, they would have a leg to stand on now.

They are losing because they continue to appease.  How about this plan.  STOP.

Turn the discussion around back to jobs, income inequality, etc...

Be patient, hold the line, don't give in to bullies who are trying to force a false choice.
