    even if there was a primary between Schatz and Hanabusa, that Schatz would win.

    Fact is, Schatz is the incumbent and he hasn't done anything in the Senate that would offend any Hawaii Democrat. Therefore, Hanabusa won't be able to attack him on policy, and in fact her only line of attack may be that he's  white, and I for one think that line of attack is kind of petty.

    Challengers do not beat incumbents, either in primary or general elections, by staying positive. In order for a challenger to defeat an incumbent, they not only must explain why people should vote for them, they also have to explain why people should not vote for the incumbent.

    I don't see any reason why Hawaii Democrats shouldn't vote for Schatz.
