  •  I do tae kwon do once a week (5+ / 0-)

    to try and keep my body in shape - and I lost all the belts I had earned and had to start over at the beginning because my memory is swiss cheese.  Another cheery side effect.

    Then there's the motor issues from the medications that make me lurch around like Jack Sparrow while trying to walk from room to room, much less do my forms and stay up with the group.

    Add the inhaler and the strain of just making it TO class - I'm so grateful that my instructors are understanding and work with me rather than against me - and I hope to have my first belt test in a few weeks.

    And we sail and we sail and we never see land, just the rum in the bottle and a pipe in my hand...
