    if we're talking strictly nutrition, that I can find something with far more value than Pepsi for the same money.  

    I'm not wading any farther into this, ahem, food fight, but I think you're on a pretty skinny limb claiming that Pepsi has nutritional value and could/should be used to fill nutritional needs when there clearly are better options for the same amount of money.

      We're not talking strictly nutrition, we're talking Food Police, and justifying purchases that make people feel better.  

      If we have to come up with nutritional information to make the Food Police back off, then I can - and will -  certainly do that.

      This isn't about "better options", sometimes, it's about "only". And sometimes, it's about mental health far more than physical health.

        And look at what is in store for the future regarding the economy. And hope for the schadenfreude of knowing these people will understand food monotony then.

        See how much they enjoy having rice for fifty meals in one month. Some raisins in the beginning but just plan rice for the majority of the month. And see how loud they get about soda then.
