dissonance, by certain types of hyperbolic rhetoric and policy statements they have engaged in, poor program planning/staff work and by certain abuses and misconduct that, overall, add up to what I call non-conservation-stewardship conduct.....such as....

    1.  opponent vilification as a substitute or replacement for not having established a winning frame of attack.

    2.  failure to prioritize all efforts on "making the case" in a manner all directed at the statutory-required decisionmaking criteria of the target decision-maker.

    3.  substituting picture-painting/product branding campaign strategy that has nothing to do with and no relationship with applying conservation stwewardship using conservation science and showing how these principles apply to the statutory decisionmaking requirements concerning the Keystone XL pipeline..

    4.  failure to wage attacks on foreign oil dependence, even if is from Canada.

    5.  failure to take advantage of Obama Jujitsu by failing to structure a frame and a practical opening that would allow President Obama to political manage his effect on the decision issue that speaks to the visions of the Obama Presidency.  (i.e.  let's make deal involving non-pipeline oil and gas matters i.e. depletion allowance, carbon tax, etc.

    6.   No sign of a mitigation case that responsible resource stewards would always address knowing of the strong possibility that a project being apposed will be approved in the end.   Where's the discussion about pipewall thickness, use of exterior and interior pipe coatings for durability, use of alloyed steel, discussion of welding methods and materials, welding and pipeline failure analysis, methods for addressing mechanical strain and fracture cracks in the pipeline, fluid pressure, safety at pumping stations, methods of continuous monitoring of pipeline operation, methods of internal inspection of the pipeline, engineering arrangements at stream crossings etc.

...(from a tactical point of view) but I still think you should write a diary or two about it. It's important to the debate not only over Keystone and Enbridge but also for future matters in this regard.

Don't tell me what you believe, show me what you do and I will tell you what you believe.
