    if you want to safeguard the account from hacking, its the best way to go.

      you enjoy playing with your phone and computer at the same time, passing generated session numbers back and forth to use Google services or the services on your Android smartphone. It sure can seem like an annoying time-waster.

      Note that Google advises generating and keeping at least 10 extra 2 factor authentication 'keys' to ensure that you can keep using your phone and services if you happen to get locked out on one set. Try hard not to lose all of them.

      Maybe Google's gaggle of genius software engineers can come up with a smarter way to do this that doesn't isn't too complicated or risky for the average user.
