    the rank of bishop or higher. They prefer to be "workers in the vineyard" not the boss.

      Of course, all Jesuits can't be painted with the same brush, but history paints the Jesuit order as very politically manipulative.  It is why the Jesuits have been expelled from so many countries in the past.

      It might help the Church if alcohol use wasn't so widely accepted by the clergy.  People/Priests make bad decisions while under the influence.  It could explain the abuse issue.  It would be an interesting study to see how many of the Priest abusers where heavy alcohol consumers.  Just a thought...

      A friend managed a palacial Jesuit retreat probably worth $10 million (37 bedrooms, seaside).  After a weekend retreat, there were barrels of empty bottles and beer cans.  A LOT of alcohol was consumed.  

      It's difficult to be happy knowing so many suffer. We must unite.
