I can comparatively excuse Bush's sheer, unbridled partisan negligence in dismantling Clinton's anti-terrorism task force upon stealing office - which led directly to the slip-ups preceding 9/11 - but the Iraq War was High Treason: A conspiracy to falsify intelligence, deceive Americans into war with a powerless enemy, destroy global opinion of the United States, and rob the nation of trillions.  If that wasn't treason, then treason doesn't exist.

If we had treated Bush according to his own standards as an enthusiastic (even perverse) capital punishment advocate, he and Herr Cheney would have been impeached, hanged, and then buried beside Hermann Goering.  I, being more enlightened, would simply have sent them to SuperMax for life, in the same cell block as convicted terrorists and serial killers.

I demand that you prove you're alive.
