with the culture here. I can't roll my R the way he does, so I wouldn't worry about that.
What is your connection with the Netherlands?

there for a couple of decades. My first time in Amsterdam I felt a connection. It was like putting on a comfortable pair of shoes. I've been going back ever since. I've made many trips back and have visited every province. I decided to learn the language enough to be polite and order food. I got hooked on learning it and have been doing so for the last 13 years. I took the long way around. I am in touch with the culture because I watch more Dutch television online than American television. In fact, I'm about to sign off because I have a nieuw uitlevering van 3 Op Reis to watch.

You should see the shocked expressions I get when I hear tourists in San Francisco speaking Dutch and I engage them. I like to have my fun.
