Ratifying the treaty, supporters said, would spread American leadership around the globe as well as create new markets for US-made disabilities products.
    And people wonder why I'm a cynical sonofabitch . . . .

Wheelchairs, hearing aids, cochlear implant technologies, traffic lights with audible signals, prosthetic, etc.   We decided all those billions were money for an industry we don't want to grow, apparently.

It's part of the Republican job growth strategy.

The best arrangements between nations are those founded on a combination of idealism and mutual benefit.

As for the lower-than-snakes wretched teagaggers that comprises today's GOP, may they wither and die. May their wives be barren, their sons rebel against them and their daughters turn on everything they stand for. May they live just long enough to experience the utter disgrace and contempt that is their rightful due from any thinking person.

        I am even more cynical . . . . .

Not only do we have corporados writing national laws, but now we want them to write international treaties too . . . . .

        (sigh)
