    •  Just curious (0+ / 0-)

how you get likely D this early on in the game or on the line of likely?

Instead of more like lean D, but closer to the tossup side?

the crop of candidates the GOP have in the state. Historically they've never have a stellar bench in that state. Another reason why is that she's proving to be a strong incumbent for a freshman senator, who engages with her constituents, and holds townhalls called "conversations with Kay" in every county in the state. Even in GOP stronghold. She spends her time in the state unlike her predecessor Liddy Dole who was rarely was in the state. I think it be foolish to put it as tossup when she's posting strong numbers against her challengers like she is now. If she continues be this this strong this race can end up as likely D.

I know ya'll had two good cycles in Carolina, and are eager to take down Kay Hagan, but I don't think that going to happen after muck the state GOP is gonna run up in Raleigh.

I'm consistently impressed with her ability to engage with her constituents.  Even while she's in DC, she invites anyone from North Carolina to join her for a chat over coffee that she hosts once a week in her office.  In addition, there have already been head-to-head polls where she breaks 50%.  She will probably draw a good challenger, and it won't be an easy race, but she starts out with several points in her favor.
