    by immigrants are almost all done by locals in my area. And we have had immigration from all over; there are all kinds of faces from the south and E & W Asia that were never seen here 50 years ago, but they don't concentrate in ghetto industries.

    I see whites and some blacks with local accents digging ditches, roofing, framing, landscaping. Come to think of it in 4 years I've never seen an all or mostly Hispanic labor crew for example. I do hear Spanish spoken in crowds in malls though.

    White citizens will take almost any job, it's tiny paychecks they don't want. And yes indeed unions are very important in that.
