    That the delta sand and gravel company worked at. The pits filled with water and the place was a huge mess for years after being abandoned. It was a homeless camp that according to local lore was where all the criminals lived. So few people ever went there. Wildlife began moving in and eventually the city started fixing it up a little. When it became more popular they began doing more restoration and it is really very nice now. Like I said, beaver, otter, lots of waterfowl, tons of frogs and pond turtles. Someone told me that the otters eat nutria so they are taking care of an invasive problem there that no one knew what to do about. Double win!
