    He has a point.  Concussions weren't much of a problem in the '40s.

    That made me think of this.  Just the opposite of Rush's theory, whenever someone has nose surgery, they should have some protection for that nose.  I know how easily that thing gets whacked.  If it's not from falling down it's from banging into an open cabinet door or something.

    So sorry you are having to go through this.  As well-intentioned as people are in suggesting you have someone with you all the time, we also realize that is not always possible.

    You'd think there would be a better approach to post-surgical care.  This IS the 21st century, isn't it?  You had no more protection than if you had broken it in the 14th century (not counting antibiotics of course).
