    is that as you said, corporations look for the lowest taxes and set up their headquarters there (which is why I know Ireland at one point was one of the corporate headquarters of the world) so even as we close loopholes and raise taxes I would think we need to do something to keep these corporations in the US

      a company from moving it's statutory headquarters to another country. It does require shareholder approval. That is a cumbersome process, often with bad optics, and if the company's shareholders are primarily in the US, they may not approve it.

        I didn't know that there was shareholder approval for that, I just figured they could move if they felt like it
