    exist. I only remember learning about syphilis and gonorrhea.

      Herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, chalmydia, crabs -- pretty much everything except for HIV, and I think that genital warts may not have been recognized as a problem at the time.  Of course, because said diseases hadn't started to really evolve a strong antibiotic resistance, penicillin would take care of pretty much all of them but the herpes and HPV.

      ...Interestingly, due to the current trend towards a lack of pubes, crabs are having a hard time holding on, as it were, as an STD.
