  •  She sided with the Conservatives in trashing (0+ / 0-)

    Miranda.

She beats a Republican appointee.  That's about the limit of what can be said about her.

income gains to the top 1% from 2009 to 2011 were 121% of all income increases. How did that happen? Incomes to the bottom 99% fell by 0.4%

You have high standards. Admirable, but unrealistic. And that's not a defense of her vote in the case you mention, just an unwillingness on my part to completely disregard everything else she's done because of it.

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.

      •  She's a moderate on the most far-right court (0+ / 0-)

        in 80 years.

That's not some great accomplishment, nor are the incidences in which she's sided with the liberal wing great achievements.

When she rules against the interests of the man who appointed her even once, let me know.

So far, she's proven to be nothing but a Democratic version of Thomas, shaping her "opinions" to whatever the White House finds agreeable (when she's not recusing herself on sketchy grounds).

Sotomayor, on the other hand, has shaped up to be a hell of a Justice.  She's courageous, insightful, and eminently fair.  He reasoning has so far always been self-consistent and she has never displayed any tendency to put personal loyalty above what is right.

It is in no way "unrealistic" to expect that caliber of Justice.  Her record proves it.

Has said kagan is her model supreme court justice

So elizabeth warren is a sellout. She shouldn't support kagan then.

      •  You shouldn't hand your responsibility to think (0+ / 0-)

for yourself over to anyone.  That includes Elizabeth Warren.
