    That's the closest I've come to this kind of book. The author is a Robert J. Ringer. IIRC (It has been a long time since I read it) the book is all about succeeding by learning how to cut through High SDO BS and not be played for a sucker, while learning how to make it work for you. The book has little cartoons of the author as a turtle in a world of puppies and Big Dogs etc to illustrate his points. It could be argued that a more accurate title would be "How to be an A**hole for Fun & Profit Without Guilt". He has a whole series of books around that theme, like "Winning Through Intimidation".

    Yeah - truly books for our times even though they were written decades ago.
