Neil Heslin: We dropped Jesse off in the morning, December 14. He gave me a hug and a kiss, said “I love you Dad, and I love Mom, too.”

Lynn McDonnell: Our daughter Grace was seven years old. She couldn’t wait to go to school. She would skip down the driveway.

Jillian Soto: My sister loved teaching at Sandy Hook. Every student would say, “I hope I get Miss Soto next year.”

Terri Rousseau: Lauren loved children, and she always wanted to be a teacher.

Neil Heslin: I got a 911 call that there was a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Voiceover (Jillian Soto??): We need to remember the 26 victims who lost their lives.

Onscreen text: Jesse. Grace. Vicki. Lauren and 22 others were murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14th, 2012.

Gilles Rousseau: She just wanted to teach little kids, and that was her goal, and she died doing it. Wonderful! [Crying]

Neil Heslin: That was the last I ever saw Jesse alive.

Chris McDonnell??: I want to prevent any other family from having to go through what we’re going through.

Onscreen text: Connecticut can save lives.
