    I changed mine, also, to show my support & solidarity with those whose rights are being denied.  Even if I did not have any gay or lesbian friends (which of course I do), I would still have empathy for their plight.

    BTW, I hate false choices:

    I personally think that our country has much bigger problems than debating gay marriage. Severe obesity, soaring healthcare costs, poverty, starving children, immigration, texting and driving to name a few.
    We can multi-task; working to relieve one injustice does not mean we cannot be working on other issues as well.

    GOP Agenda: Repeal 20th Century.

      person is that she's as right-wing as they come. I've never seen her in any way care about poverty or the people who suffer in it. I have never seen her focus on starving children, and the "problem" of immigration to her means there is not a fence.

      From her, this tactic is a distraction. I do love how texting and driving is thrown into a list with poverty and starving children, though. Sheesh.
