    in '88 during a locust plague. My friend who was an entomologist and his colleague from USAID has a locust roast. So glad I was out en brousse for that. I've eaten a lot of weird stuff but bugs...nope, can't do it.

      you will eat absolutely anything that doesn't eat you first.

      I guess I'm less squeamish than most---I've eaten everything from earthworms (they just taste like mud) to roast tarantula (very good--tastes like shrimp).

      I'll try anything, at least once.

          But I grew up in a rural part of Pennsylvania, where most people hunted for food.  So as a little kid when I went to my grandmother's house for dinner, I never had any idea what the heck "dinner" would be--it could be anything from blackbird pie to spaghetti with groundhog sauce to squirrel nuggets to deepfried eel to bear steaks. I think I've eaten every edible animal in eastern Pennsylvania. And probably a few imports.  :)
