    Also, people living with mental illness ( I'm one of them) and compliant with their medication are actually more likely to be the victims of violence than the perpetrator.

    So this kinda exception is not just an invasion of privacy, it's useless, and it further stigmatizes a class of folks who, I assure you, take enough crap already.

    Ya gotta stop getting your info on mental illness from slasher movies.

      with those suffering with mental problems, over my many years

      None of whom, I'd trust with a gun.


      Anger and Rage and Accusing Voices and Overwhelming Depression,

      and GUNS  -- Don't Mix.

      IMHO.


      PS. I'm not trying to "stigmatize a class of folks"

      -- I'm trying so solve a problem, which often has its "common threads" in this domain.


      PS. I'm not a fan of the slasher genre.


      PSS. I believe ALL our mentally ill -- deserve from society adequate care and treatment, including and especially one on one counseling.  Society owes them that much.
