  •  60 Senate seats is a two-cycle effort too (5+ / 0-)

    Seems to me, if we can keep the majority in 2014, we will become filibuster-proof in 2016.  That's when the Republicans face every seat they won in 2010, AND the first-termers in Ohio, New Hampshire, Florida and Missouri that we didn't even bother against before.  The North Carolina seat will be in play, and I wouldn't be surprised if McCain and/or Grassly retired, creating openings in swing states.

      rule returns to the Senate. Damn it Reid, stop thinking that the republicans have any morals except corrupt morals.
