so it isn't just the confederacy that should issue an apology.

Though my family members who were enslaved here are deceased, they live on in our family hearts and stories.  I would like to have a national apology take place here - and we are living with the effects of the destruction of Reconstruction and Jim Crow - today.

Instead what is happening is a move to undo efforts like affirmative action, defund head-start....

    sigh.

don't realize the same playbook used to derail reconstruction has been used to derail Brown v. Board... which is still...after over 50 years... being implemented 'with all deliberate speed' and to derail social programs originally forced to be implemented for poor whites only... like Social Security...

Meet the new boss...same as the old boss...

Fear doesn't just breed incomprehension. It also breeds a spiteful, resentful hate of anyone and everyone who is in any way different from you.
