    And that's only if someone like Tim Donnelly is the nominee. Orange County is strongly fiscally conservative, which is the main reason it stays Republican and they think a lot about taxes, which Brown raised with Prop. 30. While Obama advocated for raising taxes on the wealthy, he still outperformed Prop. 30 by a few points, so there are some fiscally conservative, yet socially moderate voters that can be swayed to push a Democrat into the mid 40s in the county.
