  •  name recognition is money (0+ / 0-)

If someone have name recognition he/she and has a decent image (not a very good one), has still an advantage over others that get reflected in the poll numbers, like we see in many states with people like Rendell, Strickland,... And who has name recognition has part of the road done.

We can not talk about name recognition as if it would be only question of time. Also it is question of money that can be saved for other races or other purposes (like to attack S Walker) in this race.

    •  that might be an advantage in a primary poll (0+ / 0-)

when it comes down to an actual general election it may not be.

      •  I was just talking about general election polls (0+ / 0-)

The advantages of Rendell, Strickland, Granholm, Crist, Barnes and more that were underwater in 2010, were in polls vs Republicans. They recovered more of less and they have been doing better than other Democrats with lower name recognition, in the match-ups vs Republicans in recent polls.
