    The Forbes article (mentioned in the comments above) completely missed the point of Hanauer's talk.

    Hanauer hits the nail on the head: without aggregate demand, venture capitalism is useless for job creation. Henry Ford had the right idea when he decided to pay his workers enough to afford to buy the cars they were making... today's robber barons seem to have forgotten that.
