of us just don't want to consider.

Americans don't like to see the pictures of what we've done but you can bet they're out there and I'm not talking about the mild ones from Abu Ghraib. I'm talking about bloody awful pictures of things done by "coalition" forces and you can bet they're in the hands of Pashtun tribal fighters, Taliban, and throughout the Arab world.

I've written about one in particular but I'm not going to rehash it here. No one in this thread needs to see it or hear about it. We know they're out there.

Matt Taibbi has a blog post about suppressing whistle blowers on the Rolling stone website right now. It touches on a lot of these issues.

    •  Chris Hondros. (4+ / 0-)

Chris Hondros is the name of a Getty photographer who took one of the most horrifying pictures I've seen. It was at night at an American check point in Tal Afar, Iraq.

He's dead now according to this article http://www.nytimes.com/... but I'll bet plenty of Iraqis still have a copy along with a deep hatred of Americans.

At least some of them have clean drinking water and a few hours of electricity a day. I've been told Iraqi cities had first world living standards prior to sanctions and the Cheney/Haliburton war.
