    Law Summary

In Connecticut, it is illegal to offer for sale, sell at retail, use, or explode fireworks.

Sparklers and fountains, including spike fountains, base fountains, and handle fountains are exempt from the law, however, a person must be 16 years of age or older to purchase, use, or sell sparklers or fountains.

The State Fire Marshal may issue a permit for a public fireworks display by a municipality, fair association, amusement park, other organization or group of individuals. A public display may only be fired by a person who has obtained a certificate of competency issued by the state.

In fact, the fireworks laws are stricter than the murder machine laws.

guns are fun v. hey buddy, watch what you are doing -- which side are you on?
