I've dedicated myself to meeting the needs of each of my children, on the spectrum or not.  I expect them all to be as independent and responsible as they can to their ability and age (developmental or otherwise).  They are all kind and caring individuals.  They each have their own personalities and interests.

My daughter watches Barney, Sesame Street, Dora, etc.  I would never dream of taking those shows away from her because they bring her so much joy. She's been exposed to other interests, some she accepts, some she rejects.  My family accepts her for who she is and she knows it.

You and I have different perspectives and experiences.  I respect yours, please respect mine.

I wish you every happiness and success.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
