    Are reading too much into the Solicitor General's refusal to agree that DOMA presents no Federalism issues.

    I don't think that either the SG or his boss believe that there is anything that Congress can't do, except where the bill of rights explicitly prohibits it... so of course they're not going to agree that there's a Federalism problem... because there is no such thing as a  Federalism problem.
