The Texas school funding mechanism was recently ruled unconstitutional.

AUSTIN– In a ruling that could signal a huge fiscal impact on Texas, a state judge ruled Monday that the Texas school finance system is not delivering enough funding for schools to do their job and is sending out that money in an unfair and unconstitutional manner.
What are the best models for school funding?

What movementst at the municipal, county, or state levels are pushing for change?

What districts have the most likelyhood of success?

Which candidates for higher office will stand up and promote proper education funding?

The best model for school funding that I know of is that used in the Abbott districts in New Jersey.

There are many change movements:  BlackStar in Chicago, the Alliance for Quality Education in New York, the national Opportunity to Learn Campaign.

The districts that are succeeding include Montgomery and Baltimore counties, Maryland.

      Jerry Brown.
