We all know the drill; district drawn to include enough rural hick / suburban evangelical voters who will keep pulling the lever for their "moral conviction." Thereby reliably returning the craziest embarrassment of representation with a 55% margin. They have been at it for years it seems, and I am really not sure what can be done. The propaganda has done its job on the voters around here for sure.

And Marsha Blackburn for a prime example of this

by a friend who was high up in HR for a large local corporation that she gets good marks from constituents because she has an excellent ground operation. Call her office with a problem, and you get help, or at least some attention. That sort of thing goes a long way anywhere.

So then, in addition to overcoming the gerrymandering, the problem for a challenger becomes trying to convince voters that Mr. or Ms. Newly Elected would be just as good for their interests.

And the Dems to run against all seem to come out of the cities, but it's the rabid right in the outlying districts who have the bumper stickers on their trucks and gun racks.

and expose ALEC; it is that alliance that is responsible for this.
