  •  Ok, so is your question to Adam & Zach: (3+ / 0-)

In regards to the massive database of Twitter users you say you've been collecting since Jan 24, 2012 -

Do you have any plans to sell this database? If so, to whom and for what purpose?

Will you allow #UniteBlue members to "Opt Out" of any such database in the event you decide to sell it at any point in the future?

If not, please tell me what exactly you would like me to ask in the interview.

    Thanks for participating.

plan to use it to frame their organization as the one that determines who the 'real Democrats' are. After all, they decide who is 'UniteBlue' and who is not. I picked this train of thought just from reading Adam's twitter feed. I don't find it particularly objectionable as that's what groups like his do all the time no matter where they are on political spectrum.

      •  Actually, they don't "choose" who joins #UniteBlue (4+ / 0-)

They post regular Tweets which tell Users if they want to join, to post a Tweet saying "I want to join #UniteBlue"

THEN they add you to one of the #UniteBlue lists. Where you can go and find other Users who have also joined #UniteBlue, so that you can follow them and perhaps get a 'followback' from them.

I'm not so convinced, personally, that amassing more than 2000 followers is going to protect a person from getting the Twitter equivalent of the #banHammer here...

But getting a bigger audience for one's Tweets? That seems to me to be a good reason to want to get on the #UniteBlue bandwagon.

It's a big part of why I asked to join #UniteBlue.

at the step where they add you to the list they make a choice whether to do so and in some way they continue to manage the list like Kos runs this blog and provides a sort of general direction to it. Or am I seeing it wrong?

lists and how they are created, managed and run with Zach Green.

You'll see the answer in my Interview diary, when it goes up.

Great question though, as most of the problem people are having re: #UniteBlue is 'how much money will they make' and what sort of data are they collecting - if indeed they are intending to sell their database or any part(s) of it.
