and don't think it stands a chance in our current State Legislature where Republicans have ensured themselves an eternal majority.  That said, bringing the issue front and center to the voters is important so they will realize that Republicans have created a virtual dynasty for their political party and that doesn't sit well with fair-minded Wisconsinites.

I have more hope about our maps being changed by the courts.  As you may know, GOP document refusals in the redistricting lawsuit didn't sit well with the 3 judge panel.  Republicans finally coughed them up after several court orders and a huge fine, but the plaintiffs kept on finding even more documents that were not disclosed even afterwards.

These documents led to an unprecidented subpoena for the state-owned computers used to create the district maps and, after more Republican obstruction (including the lie that the computers were "lost"), they were finally obtained and examined.  At least one hard drive was physically damaged and the others had prohibited data-wiping software installed.

Plaintiffs have been granted an extension until May to have their forensic computer specialists try to exhume any erased files.

I'm hoping that either the 3 judge panel gets so sick of Republican thumbing their noses at the court that they just re-write the maps themselves or that the plaintiffs appeal to the full Appeals Court for full review.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
