really.  First marriage equality, then repealing the death penalty.  Now they are moving on to dealing with sensible gun policies with an eye toward public health and safety instead of paranoid fears. says this Virginian who looks out at them from across the river. ::sigh::

      •  Love MD GOP For Being Even Bigger Fuckups Than Dem (0+ / 0-)

Nobody would have believed that was possible!

I'm not keeping track of how many Maryland politicians are being arrested.

        •  Remember that party politix in Md is complex. (0+ / 0-)

There are a number of Repubs I know and like. Some even make good partners on certain issues.

With the near-one-party state, we have transparency and corruption problems galore. Hence my periodic screeds about mo betta Dems here, and the need for the state D party to do some real work on behalf of citizens.

Hard to rail on gerrymandering Rs when the Gov did the exact same thing here to insulate D 'incumbents.

If any of these three major issues were opposed seriously by Mike Busch or Mike Miller, they'd never happen. Even a committee chairman can decide to hold something captive for years.

So that is the flip side.
