  •  Harsh as it may seem to us (0+ / 0-)

nature's response to an imbalance between a species and its food source is for some of the young to die. I'm afraid that Seaworld isn't helping restore nature's balance by feeding these pups and returning them to the wild.

since that is pretty much impossible as long as humans spew so much toxic garbage into every eco-niche. They are trying to save young members of a population which may have had its older generation die off for still unknown reasons.

I'd tip you but they cut off my tip box. The TSA would put Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad on the no-fly list.

      •  Is there any evidence to suggest (0+ / 0-)

that adult sea lions are dying off at an unusual rate?

And please excuse my suspicion about Seaworld as an organization that genuinely cares about marine life. The horror of what they are doing to captive Orcas is just too great.

        •  Sea Lion moms adopt orphaned pups and the fact (0+ / 0-)

you see dying pups and no mom areound to adopt the orphans strongly indicates the adults are dead.
