      but I worked in a stamping plant as a teenager and early twenties kid, and then did a stint as a caregiver in a nursing home for minimum wage so I've felt really fortunate to have a job that provides a solid middle class life.

      Its funny how the purchasing power has fallen, when I was 18, 19 and 20 in the early 70's $6/hour meant that you could buy a house and car and have a pretty good life.  Now you can't do that with $26/hour.

      In any case, the hardest part of my job has been trying to keep others out of the grip of the pliers, at least I was freed from basic wants.

      Thanks for all you do here on the porch and elsewhere.
