    The proposal is one where you trade overtime pay for PAID leave at a later date.

    I hope you don't seriously think the idea is trading paid hours' wages for unpaid time off.

    The choice to take additional pay (in the form of overtime wages) OR taking additional paid leave (in the form of comp time) doesn't seem like a terrible deal, and does indeed offer workers more flexibility.

      That Comp time is paid time off.  I work in HR.  However, OT must be paid and CT is at the managers discretion as to when the employee can use it.  So don't even try to use it to coincide with a holiday or other stressfull time of the year.  You will be lucky if you get a Tuesday in the middle of September.
