    aren't in large numbers the sort to come out to a special election primary to vote for the lies of Lynch.  Upscale suburban females are not his ideal voter bloc.

    Where he is aiming to do well is among one of the major factions of the Mass. Democratic Party, the one that by politics and ideology would be known in most other states as "the Republican Party."  They do read and agree with the Herald (Sophia from Boxford doesn't), they often succeed in securing Dem nominations for their statewide candidacies (Ed King, John Silber).  When they don't they are frequently able to effectively throw the election to the nominally Republican candidate, (e.g. Cellucci), as they control many local Dem Party organizations.  It's those Dem Party "regulars" to whom Lynch appeals and who do vote in partisan special election primaries.
