    I'm very pro-choice, by the way. I'm just asking if you support the notion of state legislatures deciding that something held to be a constitutional right by the Supreme Court, can be severely restricted to levels far beyond the federal level?

    And then I will apply your answer equally to both abortion and firearms.

    If it is a valid strategy for state legislatures to act this way, then it is valid for any state legislature to act this way on the restriction of any right (civil rights, voting rights, abortion rights, gun rights, etc.). Saying "it's only okay when we do it" is rank hypocrisy.
