  •  I am no fan of Mankoff, but Ebert's captions were (13+ / 0-)

hilarious. I especially liked the censored one. Very, very funny.
But a sad loss for his wife, his family, his friends, his fans today. Deepest condolences to all who loved him.

a better caption for that image than the tray table one! Stupid censors.

I was really impressed with the place the first time I visited Chicago when I was in college. It was the biggest city I'd been to at that time. At one point during the day I thought, this is a really big city! Famous people live here! We could see somebody famous! Not long after that, I was crossing Michigan Avenue near the Art Institute and I glanced into the taxis lined up at the light. Who did I see? Roger Ebert. No joke. I was so excited, I cried, "Hey, look! It's Roger Ebert!" and neglected to continue my progress across the street. Then the light changed. RIP, Mr. Ebert.

Get old and do lots of stuff in the process. Half of the fun is trying everything out. --Noddy
