for a number of years, most recently 2008-2012, at which time I noticed the nights are hotter than they were in 1970's and the monsoon season was mostly absent. Happy to hear there's still a monsoon season in SE Arizona. Lucky you!

Last year, it got a good start, and fizzled early.

I-40. Says the rainfall there has been somewhere in the vicinity of 4-5 inches in the past two years. That's dry even for that area. He also has pointed out that the growing zone lines have moved northward noticeably since the 50's and 60's - so much so that you can see a difference on the map on the back of seed packets. We get all the drought and North and South Dakota seem to have dreadful flooding every spring in recent years. I think we need a water pipeline more than we need the oil pipelines!
