  •  I think if sites like DKos were loud (11+ / 0-)

and fucking UNIFIED in opposition to this bullshit, the Administration would be forced to at least pay attention...

which of course is precisely why there's so much pushback from the ardent defenders of all things D here: a conscious effort to dilute and nullify the voice of progressives.

The centrists don't have to make a cogent case demonstrating why these proposed cuts aren't so bad... which is lucky for them, since no such case can be made. They just need to say something--anything--in support, no matter how inane. Insipid banality is enough to ensure that the bogus narrative of a "divided left" will be the one that gets listened to.

When you triangulate everything, you can't even roll downhill...

    •  They were loud and unified in supporting (6+ / 0-)

a Public Option, until their access was threatened.

Then the entire front page staff at this site did a 180 in 12 hours, and insisted that everything they ever called unacceptable betrayal was now a great achievement.

      "Paid activist" is an oxymoron.

income gains to the top 1% from 2009 to 2011 were 121% of all income increases. How did that happen? Incomes to the bottom 99% fell by 0.4%
