    ..who agreed to sell out Greeks when they gave up their currency.

    One decade ago, did US taxpayers send hundreds of billions of dollars to Argentina so that that country could maintain the dollar as its currency?

    Of course not.

    And neither should German taxpayers agree to the monetization of Greek debt.

      And I don't think that the Argentina situation is remotely comparable - US taxpayers did NOT send hundreds of billions of dollars to Argentina . .. whatever Argentina did wrt pegging their currency to the US dollar they did on their  own.  

      Greece is not in a situation anything like that - by belonging to the Euro, they have lost all such autonomy.
