    So true: civil liberties are just too damnably inconvenient.  Far better to order a person guilty, than to have to bother with the time and  expense of gathering evidence, presenting it to the public and convincing a jury of peers of the preponderance of evidence.

    What were those founding fathers thinking of?

    Fortunately, 9/11 came along and changed EVERYTHING, including our notions of human dignity and moral decency.
