As someone who was five years old when she became Prime Minister, it is without question she created (not changed, as I was only five) my views and the views of practically everyone in the Generation X generation. Of course a woman can become President of The United States someday. The leader of Britain is a woman. I would say most American kids during the 80s knew who Margaret Thatcher was. How many American kids now know who David Cameron is?

Yes, we've found the first thing that can be renamed without any connection to reality.

her style was very masculine. In many ways she showed that in order to be powerful a woman has to take on many stereotypical attributes of a man - to be un-empathetic, merciless.  Some people interpret that to be "toughness" but to me it has always seemed weak - being "one of the boys" is just a way of conforming to men in order to achieve power. Her policies weakened Britain in many ways, too.
