I heard a piece on NPR a couple of days ago where they surveyed whether the Earth's people would ever give up war and live in peace everywhere.  The results?  In the 80's 1 in 3 believed we would learn to live in peace.  Now? 1 in 10.  It got me thinking.  My opinion is, certainly not as long as the U S of A is in existence.

Disagree with me if you will, but to me it's an act of Faith based on historical evidence and an observation of how this government works.  Unlike the concept of all knowing God that intervenes in individuals' lives with no evidence except for testimonials.  To what purpose would an all powerful God intervene in my mundane life while simultaneously ignoring all the wars, genocide, homicide, and suicide in the world?  This is why I have a reaction every time Tim Tebow and others kneel in the end zone, apparently to thank God for helping them score points in a game.

I am glad you have not had an episode for 5 years.  That is so wonderful.  I hope they are gone for good.

I only commented to point out that it would be a rare bird who didn't let faith in some things shape their world view.  But some of us don't believe in God.

Even Democrats can be asses. Look at Rahm Emanuel.
